Amie Peterson
As the daughter of a retired Police Chief who served for 34 years, I grew up inside the culture, not just beside it. With over 17 years of experience in the mental health field, I have dedicated my career to the treatment of trauma, substance use, and the unique needs of First Responders, healthcare professionals, and veterans. I understand the weight of the job in a way that doesnât need translation. You donât have to explain it. I already get it.
In 2020, I began noticing a sharp increase in the toll the profession was taking on our First Responders. Calls were heavier, the stress was higher, and the ripple effect on families was undeniable. At the same time, mental health appointment waitlists were running anywhere from 6â9 months. I knew this field couldnât wait that long. Because of my expertise in trauma and my passion for serving this community, I had to act. I created Thin Line 206 as an educational platform to break down mental health in ways that made sense for First Responders. Shortly after, I launched my own private practiceâThin Line Therapy 206âexclusively dedicated to First Responders and Healthcare Professionals. Since then, Iâve expanded my work to include consultation, trainings, and department-wide education with one mission in mind: improving the lives of those who serve.
Iâve walked alongside officers, dispatchers, firefighters, EMS, healthcare workers, and their families through the hardest moments. Line-of-duty deaths, critical incidents, sleep loss, moral injury, and the âIâm fineâ mask that feels impossible to take off. My role is to provide a space where you donât have to filter your reality. Thin Line Therapy 206 is built for the culture, backed by the experience, and delivered with respect, because thatâs exactly what this work requires.
Thatâs why when it came to naming my practice, I wanted something that represents both where I come from and who I serve.Â

Analizeth "Anali" PesqueirÂ
Anali is a bilingual clinician (English/Spanish) who brings warmth, creativity, and expertise to her work with children and teens. Her background includes specialized experience in forensic interviewing through Child Protective Services, which has given her a deep understanding of how trauma, trust, and communication shape a childâs world. She utilizes play therapy and expressive approaches to help young clients process difficult experiences, build emotional awareness, and develop coping skills in ways that feel natural and empowering.
Anali has a particular passion for supporting first responder families, where stress, shift work, and the weight of the job often impact the whole household. She helps kids and teens build resilience, process emotions, and find healthy ways to express whatâs often hard to put into words.
Her approach is genuine, collaborative, and grounded in connection â meeting each child and family where they are, and helping them move toward healing, growth, and stronger relationships.
"Iâve worked with Amie in a professional capacity for 5 years and she is fantastic. She is a strong advocate and helps her clients navigate through significant trauma and grief toward practical solutions. She will put you at ease and encourage growth. I highly recommend her services!"

â Jamie Pfeifer, LPCC
"Amie is a high quality clinician who serves our first responders and military. As a fellow provider and as a military spouse, I highly recommend her. Amie is passionate about her work and truly cares. She has advanced training and extensive experience."

"I've worked with Amie in multiple settings and she's exceptional-compassionate, professional, and deeply committed to her clients. She's also warm, funny, and easy to connect with. Anyone working with her is in great hands."
â Marsha Wichmann, LPCC
"Amie is highly trained, greatly educated and a caring / compassionate provider. I had the privilege of working with Amie and had the utmost confidence in referring people to her as I knew they would be in the best of hands. I would get glowing feedback from people that saw Amie as a therapist on how trauma informed and helpful she was on their journey for healing. She is great for those just getting started on a therapy journey, or those that have tried different therapists and modalities., She really knows how to meet people where they are at and give them the best care."
â Krissy Cundiff, LICSW
NICE TO MEET YOU
I'm Amie Peterson
Since 2011, Iâve provided compassionate, confidential telehealth therapy to First Responders and their families. I know firsthand the toll this work takes. Raised in a law enforcement family with over 100 years of combined service, I understand the culture, the silence, and the weight that comes with serving on the front lines.
With degrees in Criminal Justice, Mental Health, Healthcare Administration and advanced training in EMDR, I specialize in helping law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, dispatchers, military/veterans, corrections, healthcare professionals, and fellow therapists process trauma, manage stress, and reconnect with themselves. I'm licensed in Washington, Oregon, Minnesota, and North Dakota, and I accept most major insurances to keep care accessible for those who dedicate their lives to protecting others.
